You must have an FSA ID to complete the application see Ms. Suarez in the College and Career Center (room 204) for help. • Complete and submit all college/university & trade school admission applications online @ www.applytexas.com . • File FAFSA and other Financial Aid Forms Starting October 1st. Complete the FAFSA for all schools!!! • Check scholarship, financial aid, college planning resources @ www.everychanceeverytexan.org/about/scholars • Register for college entrance exams SAT, ACT & TSI • Fill out the Transcript request form in the counseling center.

Juniors & Sophomores: • Make a list of colleges and/or trade schools you would like to attend; it is not too early to plan. • Juniors Only Study for the SAT Exam is on March 7th at LHS (FREE) • Volunteer; see the list of local agencies @ Counseling Center & document hours. • Start searching for scholarships. • Build a strong Grade Point Average (GPA) and Class Ranking by making good grades in everything. Freshman: • Take challenging classes in core academic subjects. Most colleges require four years of English, at least three years of social studies (history, civics, geography, economics, etc.), three years of mathematics, and three years of science, and many require two years of a foreign language.
