CITY OF OJAI Resolution No. 16-52 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OJAI, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING STEVEN L. MCCLARY AS CITY MANAGER AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CITY MANAGER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY WHEREAS, the Ojai City Council desires to employ the services of Steven L. McClary as City Manager; and WHEREAS, the Ojai City Council directed the Mayor and City Attorney to negotiate the terms of a proposed employment agreement between the City and Steven L. McClary for City Manager services; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Attorney have negotiated a proposed employment agreement between the City and Steven L. McClary for City Manager services for the City Council's review and approval. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OJAI, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Authority The City Council has the power to appoint a City Manager under Ojai Municipal Code section 2-3.03. Section 2. City Manager Appointment The City Council hereby appoints Steven L. McClary as City Manager, under the terms of the employment agreement approved by this Resolution. Section 3. Approval of City Manager Employment Agreement The City Council hereby approves the employment agreement between the City and Steven L. McClary, attached hereto and incorporated as Exhibit A and made a part hereof. Section 4. Authorization to Execute Employment Agreement The City of Ojai authorizes the Mayor to execute the employment agreement between the City and Steven L. McClary on behalf of the City. Section 5. Certification The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be processed in the manner required by law.
