Numerous other schools have areas that need attention also. • Replacement of exterior windows • The MEP equipment serving these schools is beyond its life expectancy. On average the maintenance cost for these issues reflect 70% or greater of the total maintenance costs. • Additions to a number of the schools have addressed providing handicap accessibility to all floors but others have not. A number of the schools would require extensive modifications and/or additions to achieve accessibility. • Finishes are dated and in most cases cabinetry is original to the building.
