(ROSE) will hold the fifth annual Breastfeeding Summit titled, The ROSE that Grew from Concrete. The core summit will take place on Thursday, July 28, 2016 and Friday, July 29, 2016 with an optional Pre-Summit Workshop on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Marriott Conference Center. Poster presentation and abstract proposals are accepted to display programs that address Breastfeeding and Lactation issues and concerns in vulnerable communities. Each Abstract will be presented as a RedTop Table Discussion Deadline: All submissions must be received by Friday, May 16, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. EST. Please submit your proposal by uploading your file to: http://www.breastfeedingrose.org/2016submissions Proposals must be 3 pages or less, in .doc or .pdf format, and may include text and images. The following information should be included. • Name of organization or individual submitting • Name, credentials, e-mail, phone, and address for each member of the team submitting • Brief bio of poster or abstract presenter (200 words or less) • Proposed poster or Abstract title • Indicate whether proposal is for a Poster Presentation or Article Abstract • Abstracts for both poster presentations and articles should be 500 words or less, and may be included in the program • Conflict of Interest Form Proposal Review Process: • Reviewers are members of the ROSE Conference Planning Committee. • Approval of submissions is based on the following criteria: o Does the proposal address the summit topic? o Does it have a well-developed description? o Is the proposal solutions oriented? • Submitters will be notified of the status of their submissions on or before June 10, 2016. Policies Governing Accepted Proposals: • Once a proposal is accepted, you will have the opportunity to make additional edits to the contents and description prior to delivery of the presentation board(s). • ROSE reserves the right to withdraw a presentation at any time. • Poster presenter(s) will be responsible for putting up and taking down their posters at the designated times. • ROSE reserves the right to retain posters for its use. Posters that are not retained by ROSE may be retrieved immediately following the summit. • ROSE is not responsible damage to posters. • Poster presentations will be on display during both days of the summit. • Poster presenters are responsible for providing one or more poster(s) addressing the topic approved by ROSE, and easel(s) for mounting the boards to be viewed at standing height. Posters will be unmanned; however, reviewers may include contact details (name, website) for participants interested in more information. • The presenting author named in the submission will receive a discounted registration price of $150.
