About our Team and Coaches
Coaches Aaron and Brett have coached both boys and girls, from U7 up to U19. Coach Aaron: I have coached for 12 years, the last 6 being with Pacific FC. I currently coach both the B06 Rangers and the G01 Force. Our program is focused on possession and solid defense. We expect hard work and focus out of all the boys. This group has had a great year and the team development has been outstanding. Building a team that works together well both on and off the field leads to success. I am looking forward to an awesome year with this group! Coach Brett: Brett has coached for over 30 years. He has coached teams to regionals for USYSA Championship Cup, nationals for the National Indoor Soccer Championship Series, and taken teams to tournaments in California, Nevada, Hawaii, Georgia, Idaho, Denmark, Norway, England, and Scotland. He has been with Pacific FC coaching ’06 boys, ’05 boys, ’00 boys, ’96 boys, ’95 boys, and ’97 girls. Prior to Pacific FC he was with Washington Soccer Academy and before moving to Washington he coached in Oregon at PCU, Westside Metros, THUSC, and Portland Mailing.
Coach Philosophy and Team Culture
Our program is focused on developing intelligent, creative players that make good decisions, with an emphasis on defense and possession (passing the ball). Hopefully passing on a love and appreciation of the game. The team embraces a positive drive individually and as a team, wanting to display good sportsmanship on and off the pitch. Each member has a “can-do” spirit and are willing to step into various positions to help the team.
Approach to Training and Player Development
Expectations for Competitiveness and Playing Time
The shared experiences of hard work, success, and failure, in the team environment will help mold individual players into an effective team. By instilling a strong work ethic, with an emphasis on making good decisions and promoting teamwork play - we hope to achieve our goal of developing players that are technically sound and tactically intelligent. We expect the team to be competitive and improve, as individuals and as a group. It is up to them to execute the way we train. Playing time is earned based on several factors including: attendance at practice, technical ability, tactical understanding and execution.
