The Mel Shelton Idaho District III Marching Competition BSU Stadium, October 28, 2017 July 17, 2017 Dear Band Directors, Thank you for your interest in the 2017 District III Marching Competition hosted at Boise State University! There are several changes to the application system this year, including a google form with the information needed to apply. You will find the form at this link: https://goo.gl/forms/IHafXtpwqWksNLNm1 . Please fill this form out carefully and as accurately as possible. The deadline for the application is Monday, September 31st at 4:00 PM. Please send the application fee of $50.00, payable to District III Music Educators to the following address once you have completed the google form: District III Music Educators C/O Peggy Sewell 1307 E. Central Dr Meridian, ID 83642 The rules and regulations for this year's competition are posted on the DIII Music Educators website. While the rules and regulations are very similar to those from previous years, there may be some changes and clarifications made at the fall meeting on Saturday September 9th. It is assumed all bands have competing auxiliaries. If you do not wish to have your auxiliary judged, please indicate this on the google form. If your google form is not filled out and submitted by the deadline, we may not be able to prepare the announcements that are read over the PA before your performance. Please give pronunciations of names in the field indicated on the google form. The performance order will be drawn at the meeting on September 9th. The final performance lineup with warm-up, on-deck, and performance times will be sent after the applications have been processed and the classifications are confirmed. The competition date is Saturday, October 28th, 2017. Please plan on attending the meeting on September 9th for information on the procedures for ticket pre-sales, program ads and other issues.
