Summary • Austin remains one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state with a 3.7% annual job growth rate. • Round Rock ISD started and closed more than 1,200 new homes in 2015. • Callison, Herrington and England elementary zones have the highest amount of new home activity, representing 57% of the total annual starts for the district. • Paloma Lake accounted for 15% of total 2015 new home starts for the district. • RRISD can expect an increase of approximately 2,000 students during the next 5 years. • 2020/21 enrollment projection: 49,558. • Round Rock ISD is projected to have nearly 51,360 students by the 2025/26 school year, an increase of over 3,800 students. 18
