Dear 4th Grade Orchestra Families, Welcome back to school! I hope your summers were relaxing and wonderful. I am looking forward to having your student start orchestra very soon! Here are some updates and friendly reminders. We look forward to a wonderful start for your student! Meet and Greet: The week of August 28-September 1, the orchestra students will meet with their orchestra teacher and receive their lesson schedules. Lessons (during the day lessons): Lessons are scheduled to begin the week of September 5, 2017. Right now, we are working on creating the lesson schedule. It will be distributed to your student before the first day of lessons. Instrument rental & distribution: Instruments rented in the spring will be delivered to your student’s school and distributed by your teacher when your teacher determines is the appropriate time (during the first or second week of lessons). If you did not rent your student an instrument at the end of last school year when you enrolled your student in our program, you need to do so as soon as possible, but no later than August 23. Please use the paperwork given to you at the enrollment evenings with instructions of how to proceed. If you need more information, please visit: goo.gl/Tup61f 4th Grade Orchestra Parent/Guardian Night: Our mandatory parent/guardian night is September 6, 2017, 7:00 pm. at Barrington High School in the auditorium. Your 4th grade student should attend this night as well. Before school/morning orchestra rehearsals: These rehearsals will begin the week of September 25. Right now, we are working on creating the schedule for these rehearsals and will send you more details in the coming months. We will try to inform you of the day of the week they will be scheduled on as soon as possible so families can plan accordingly. Handbook: Your student will get a paper copy of the Orchestra Handbook in their first week of lessons. You must read and sign the last page of the handbook. It is due September 8th.
