the school DAV (Dayanand Anglo vedic) schools in which the word 'Anglo' stands for our robust faith of imbibing scientific progress of the modern times allowing the noble thoughts, knowledge & wisdom to come from all sides while 'Vedic' preaches our practising of the age old Indian culture & heritage impregnated with rich ethos and values. Such a concept on education of ours even finds an echo in the declaration of UNESCO that 'Education should be rooted to culture and committed to progress. The strength and success of DAV schools lies in the harmonious blend of science and technology and a sound grounding of ancient Vedic Culture. We impart an education “to build” and an education “to pay”. We have a highly motivated and dedicated team of teaching staff who play the role model for the children. Individual care and concerted efforts are made to create a very vibrant and inspiring environment in the school as education is child-centered here where singing, mimicry, playing, dramatization and Swachhata Abhiyaan - a noble mission of life echo vibrantly in the school campus. With a meagre strength of only 25 students this school began its journey in 1991 adding another chain and link to the large network of DAV organization and steering ahead the educational movement braving all odds in Chhotanagpur in the then undivided Bihar and Jharkhand now. In a short span of time the small sampling outsourced and grew to its mammoth size and shape. Now we are privileged and proud to have more than 3300 students upto +2 level having science and commerce stream. Marching ahead hand - in - hand with the reforms and changes of 21st century and also in the wake of paradigm shift in education we have harnessed and integrated all new skills empowered with upto-date training as well as technology into our curriculum so as to stand up the test of time, face the challenges and ignite the mind of our vibrant & promising young generation for a holistic growth of their personality which eventually will decide the roadmap of their life, the country and the mankind for the days to came. principal's message The whole world is progressing towards globalization and our country too is no exception to it. We are emerging faster, higher and stronger to set global standards in the field of education and marching ahead along with the world giving due impetus to skill development of the students as it is, precisely, the need of the hour for a vibrant, strong and happy India. To quote the words of Swami Vivekanand ''education is not the amount of information that is put in your brain and runs riot there, undigested, all your life. We must have life building, man making, character making assimilation of ideas.'' Moreover values and humanities add to education and when these are imbibed by children it lays the foundation for a prosperous world. Let us put our best endeavour to grow the strength, develop the skill and empower the spirit of these young growing children. We do firmly believe that mere information is not knowledge and mere knowledge is not wisdom. Education, in true sense, is the pursuit for wisdom which empowers a person with character and nation building capabilities, so that they can distinguish between what is right and what is wrong. M.K.
