1. The teacher will place a level teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate on the card. 2. Put 20 drops of water in one of the tray’s large compartments. 3. Observe the physical properties of the sodium bicarbonate and the water through the magnifying glass. 4. Put 20 drops of vinegar in the tray’s other large compartment. Observe its physical properties through the magnifying glass. 5. Read the description of vinegar in the circle below. Add your observations about water and sodium bicarbonate in the corresponding circles.

6. Now observe the chemical properties. Add half of the sodium bicarbonate to the water in the large compartment and stir. Record what you observe about the chemical properties of the mixture. Sodium bicarbonate more water
