Anna Head Buildings E & F Renovation PROJECT NO. 12673A Estimated Construction Cost: $4,500,000 UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA BERKELEY, CA; ALAMEDA COUNTY PREQUALIFICATION OF PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS: Contractors who submit bids on this Project must be prequalified.
University has determined that
LICENSES: To become prequalified, interested Contractors must possess a current California contractor’s license – General Building License Classification, License Code “B.” DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: Renovation of two wood-framed buildings that are part of the Anna Head school complex, a City of Berkeley Landmark, and listed in the State Historic Resource Inventory, and listed on the National Register of Historic places. Work includes complete seismic, life-safety and code improvements. Architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, fire sprinkler and exterior skin and envelope upgrades will be completed to connect the two buildings and convert them into a Student Counseling center for University Health Services. Scope will include fumigation and hazardous materials abatement. [email protected] A MANDATORY Prequalification Conference will be conducted on August 16, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Courtyard located between Anna Head buildings A, D, E and F, between Channing Way and Haste Street, west of Bowditch street. Courtyard is south of UC Residence Hall, Maximino Martinez Commons, at 2520 Channing. Attendance at the Prequalification Conference is mandatory for Contractors attempting to become prequalified to bid on this project. Contractors may find that parking may be difficult. The Owner recommends that you allow ample time to drive to the campus, find a parking space, walk to and locate the starting point from which the mandatory Prequalification Site Visit will begin. Prospective Contractors arriving late after the MANDATORY Prequalification Site Visit has commenced (i.e., more than 15 minutes after the published starting time.) will not be allowed to submit a prequalification statement for this project. Prospective Contractors must be present for the entire Pre-Bid Site Visit. ) Prequalification Submittals will ONLY be received at 2pm on August 31, 2016 at the following email address:

University reserves the right to request, receive, and evaluate supplemental information after the above time and date at its sole determination.
