The mission of Analy High School is to promote academic and personal success, responsible citizenship and life-long learning, in a cooperative enviroment.
SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY Analy High School, established in 1908, is part of the West Sonoma County Union High School District which consists of two comprehensive high schools and a continuation high school. A four year comprehensive secondary school, Analy has been honored as a California Distinguished School four times, ranked in Newsweek Magazines' "Top 1000 High Schools" five consecutive years; most recently as #95 for the 2013-2014 school year, and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges since 1968. Analy High School is the geographic and symbolic heart and soul of Sebastopol, California, which sits on the beautiful Laguna de Santa Rosa midway between the busy 101 Highway corridor and the woods and beaches of the Sonoma Coast. It is surrounded by small farms, open space, and dairy land. A city of 7500 people, Sebastopol known for its' rural tradition is giving way to a more diverse population consisting of business owners, professionals (some of whom commute to San Francisco), artists, vintners, and farmers. Sebastopol is a leader in enviornmental issues and is a selfdeclared "Nuclear Free Zone." Analy is strongly supported by the community, local businesses, and parents. Active support groups include: Educational Foundation, Athletic Boosters, Analy Band Wagon, and Analy Ag Boosters. The school serves a welleducated community with high academic expectations. 90.8% of adults 25 years or older graduated from high school, 76% have attended some college, with 22.5% achieving a bachelor's degree and 15.1% achieving higher degrees. 33% of our 2014 graduating class attend four-year colleges/universities, while 46% enrolled in some form of higher education at a two-year community college or trade/technical school. Many Analy graduates who are eligible to attend a four year university choose to attend the Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) before transferring. In large part, this is due to the Doyle Scholarship Program. Students eligible for these scholarships receive $1,000.00 $1,600.00 annually during their tenure at SRJC.
