Amburn Memorial Scholarship Please include the additional Amburn Scholarship supplemental information with the scholarship application. Please note all scholarship application questions, short answers, essays and letters must be typed. Applications and supplemental information are due March 20, 2017. Supplemental Information 1. A letter stating your intended area of study and your reason for choosing this major or career. 2. High School Transcripts including SAT and/or ACT scores. 3. One Instructor letter of recommendation.

Scholarship Requirements 1. Preference will be given to applicants majoring in elementary education 2. Preference will be given to applicants with financial need 3. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate an ability to satisfactorily complete a college course as shown by some recognized aptitude examination, such as the College Entrance Examination Board Test prepared by Educational Testing Service of Princeton, New Jersey. 4. Preference will be given to applicants whose personality and general character reflect that person’s ability to become an outstanding elementary school teacher.
