CLAJ Announces Publication Lab Special Session for 2016 Convention! The College Language Association Journal (CLAJ), in partnership with the College Language Association, invites 2016 CLA Convention participants who are graduate students or junior faculty to submit article-length essays for consideration in its first-ever “publication lab,” which will be a special session designed to help participants develop their conference papers, graduate seminar papers, and dissertation chapters into articles for publication in peer-review journals. Submitters of selected essays will receive feedback on their essays from seasoned scholars in the field. They also will receive a 30-minute 1:1 consultation with their reviewer in Houston during the closed special session. This “publication lab” is part of the CLAJ’s effort to continue its mission of excellence by helping to ensure the continuation of cutting-edge scholarship in the field of languages and literatures across the diaspora. We hope you will submit! *Note: While this special session is limited to 2016 CLA participants, it is not a requirement that submissions be on the same subject as participants’ convention papers. Interested graduate students and junior faculty should submit 17-25 page essays by March 20th to all of the following email addresses, which have been listed to ensure proper receipt by the CLAJ Editor, the special session chair, and the special session cofacilitators:
[email protected];
[email protected];
[email protected] For submitters’ convenience, all three required email addresses can be copied-and-pasted into the email recipient (or email “to”) box. Deadline for submissions: March 20, 2016.
