Sudden Cardiac Arrest is when someone unexpectedly collapses, and their heart stops. They’re not breathing. It happens nearly 400,000 times a year to people of all ages, races, and health conditions. They need CPR immediately. Howard County has one of the highest sudden cardiac arrest survival rates in the U.S., because a bystander performed CPR.
