We can, we will, we must provide Vision for All! Together, Lions can meet this challenge. The time to act is now! The following clubs are urged to join the rest of 43C in giving to save sight - Lexington Northside, Nicholasville, Berea, Estill County, Richmond, Gamaliel, Tompkinsville, Burkesville, Brodhead, Mt. Vernon, Somerset CC, Corbin, Harlan and Pineville.

Central Kentucky Radio Eye Awarded Grant Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) recently approved a $6,300 matching grant to Central Kentucky Radio Eye, Inc. (CKRE) to help offset costs to upgrade their broadcasting equipment. The grant application was submitted to LCIF by District 43-C and approved by LCI at its June 27th meeting. CKRE broadcasts 24/7 to visually impaired individuals and others who are unable read printed materials due to their physical limitations. CKRE provides these individuals with special radio receivers to hear the broadcasts. The equipment will be purchased by CKRE and installed at their new facility at the Lexington Northside Library, now under construction. The grant was made possible with donations from the Lexington, Lexington Fayette and Lexington South Lions Clubs. Lion Martha Goss of the Lexington Lions Club spearheaded the efforts to prepare the grant which was approved and submitted to LCIF by District 43-C.
