About the course

Today's work environment requires employees to be skilled in performing complex tasks in an efficient, cost-effective, and safe manner. Training (a performance improvement tool) is needed when employees are not performing up to a certain standard or at an expected level of performance. The difference between actual level of job performance and the expected level of job performance indicates a need for training. Training is the process of acquiring specific skills to perform a job better along with this the managerial aspects also becomes all the more pertinent in present time. Managerial skills among professionals assist the organization in accomplishing its goals. Through this a manager will make use of his or her own abilities, knowledge base, experiences and perspectives to increase the productivity of those with whom they manage. Therefore looking to these priority areas, this course has been specifically planned with the following objectives.

Course objectives  To sensitize entry and middle level Agricultural professionals about the concept of training and managerial skills  To improve the competency of agricultural professionals by using various skill and techniques of training and management  To impart appropriate methods for designing and formulating strategies for training programme in agricultural research, extension and education To

undertake such other work, activity or project as the University may deem proper in order to achieve the objectives Course Content The course has been designed to enable the participants to acquire training process skills, management skills, leadership skills, participatory skills and group mobilizing skills for undertaking effective extension work. Eligibility The applicant should not be below the rank of Assistant Professor of any discipline under Agricultural

University/ICAR institutions/ viz Extension, Teaching and Research. Nominations The application for participants must be filled online using vortal at ICAR website http://www.icar.org/(capacity Building Program link under quick links). A user has to create an account on the CBP site and then using the login id enters into system to apply online for the training program. After filling the application, take printout of the application and get it approved by the competent authority of the organization. Upload the scanned copy of application using CBP vortal (recommended) or send by post if you are not able to upload it. Registration Fees The registration fee is Rs.50/- per participant, which may be paid as Demand Draft or postal order drawn in favor of the Director, DEE, SKRAU, Bikaner. Travel, Boarding and Lodging Participants will be paid to and fro journey fare performed by the shortest route by rail or bus or other means of transport. The payment will be made as per their entitlement,

restricted to the maximum of AC III tier train fare. Free boarding and lodging will be provided to participants during the training programme.
