To ensure proper operation of your BT1, you will need to reset your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch before use. Resetting your device does not erase any information; it’s just like re-booting your home PC. • Press-and-hold the Home button (big circle below the screen) and the Sleep/Wake button (on top of the iPhone) simultaneously. • Continue holding both buttons (IGNORE the “Slide to power off”) until the Apple logo • appears on your screen. • Let go when the Apple logo appears. • Allow your device to restart. CONTINUE ON… 1. Plug-in the BT1 to the OBD-II connector in your vehicle. The connector is located on the drivers-side of the vehicle and is usually under the dash. The connector may also be behind a small trim door or plate (see picture below). 2. Start your vehicle and wait for the BT1 to beep. This indicates that the BT1 is ready to go. 3. The BT1 pairs with your phone just like a Bluetooth headset. Open “Settings” on your device, then “General” and “Bluetooth.” If Bluetooth is OFF, turn it ON. Your device will now search for the BT1. 4. When you see “GoPoint BT1” on the screen, tap it to pair with it. 5. Wait until the Devices list shows that the GoPoint BT1 is connected. IMPORTANT Once the GoPoint BT1 is connected, wait for the “Application Not Installed” message to pop-up on your screen. Tap “Yes” to go to the App store and download the GoPoint BT1 App. You may also go to the App store and search “GoPoint BT1.” Note: the Application Not Installed message may not appear if you already have GoPoint software installed on your device. IMPORTANT If you already have the GoPoint BT1 App installed, you will need to wait for the BT1 to connect to your device before you begin using the software. Look for the Bluetooth icon to be lit at the top of your screen. For questions or tech support, please email
