Claiborne St. from Canal St. to Texas St., Martha Ct. from Bowman Ct. to Boykin Blvd, Pake Ave. from Martha Ct. to Jordan Dr., Pineda Ct. from Pake Ave. to Riff Rd., First St. from Van Liew Rd. E. to Boykin Blvd., Bowman Ct. from First St. to Martha Ct., Maureen Dr. from Clubhouse Rd. to North End, Seawell St. from Clubhouse Rd. to North End, Pineland Pl. from Clubhouse Rd. to North End, Short Van Liew Rd. from Clubhouse Rd. to Van Liew Rd. E., Melissa Ct. from Clubhouse Rd. to North End, Christine Cir. from Clubhouse Rd. to North End, Pine Rd. from Gill Rd. to Riverside Dr., and Cedar Down Dr. from Dauphin Island Pkwy. to West End.

Demographic Information: The improvements will be located in census tracts and block groups which primarily serve a low to moderate income population. Specific Local Objective and Outcome: Availability/Accessibility of a suitable living environment. This includes activities that provide improved access that is no longer substandard or new access to a public facility or infrastructure (streets, water/sewer lines, bridges, parks, senior centers, libraries, schools, etc.) The city’s 5 year “Consolidated Plan and Strategy” estimated a minimum accomplishment of 1 public facility improvement project annually. This project was selected because of the need in the community for modernization and improvements to basic services while maximizing job creation and economic benefit. The project represents an investment in infrastructure the will provide long-term economic benefits. And assists those most impacted by the recession.
