Associate Dean for Graduate Studies, Administrator, Level III (Full-‐Time, 12 Month)
EFFECTIVE DATE: On or about August 17, 2016 (Fall Semester) SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with qualifications and experience MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Knowledge of the broad spectrum of academic and professional programs in the college. • A Ph.D. or Ed.D. degree in an academic program of the College. • Tenure and existing appointment at the rank of full professor. • A record of successful university teaching, scholarly and creative activity, and service. • Significant administrative experience (e.g., department chair, program coordinator), with knowledge of implementation and evaluation of university policies and procedures. • Demonstrated leadership in achieving organizational goals. • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population. DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Knowledge of best practices in Education graduate program policies and procedures. • Experience with recruitment strategies to ensure a diverse faculty and student population. • Experience in research and grant proposal development. • A record of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. • Demonstrated commitment to shared governance. • A distinguished professional record in an Education discipline. DUTIES: The Associate Dean, under the supervision of the Dean, assumes general operations responsibilities in the following areas: graduate programs, faculty searches, college recruitment efforts, scholarships, research and grant proposal development, and other duties as assigned. The Associate Dean represents the College in the Dean’s absence.
