Page 2 scientist, but I have also learned to network, ask questions, and present my research work. Throughout my 13 years of membership, I received the encouragement and support needed to survive any graduate school challenge. By attending my first SACNAS conference, I learned about applying to summer internships, fellowships, and the possibility of attending graduate school. SACNAS has granted me so many great opportunities that have helped guide me to reach my goals such as becoming a PhD. SACNAS has also given me the wings and confidence needed to soar like an eagle. Therefore, it is such an honor to be part of a prestigious community, and I will always be grateful for the love and support received from my SACNAS familia.
