These 24 cheers are great for motivating students and celebrating successes, both big and small!! To use, print and laminate the cards. Cut apart and place into a container. If you can find a Cheer laundry detergent bottle, that is perfect! If not, you can use the included label and make your own cheer container! Anytime you need to celebrate in your classroom, have a student choose a cheer and then you do the cheer! Have fun and CHEER IT UP for all of your success!
Train Make fists and bend arms at your Side. Alternate pumping arms back and forth and say, “Ch, ch, ch, ch.” Then act as if you’re pulling a train’s whistle and say, “Whoo, whoo.” ©2014 www.thekindergartensmorgasboard.com
18 Wheeler Pretend your pulling a truck’s horn and say “HONK! HONK!”. Then pretent talking into a radio and say “Great Job, good buddy!”

Gold Star Pretend to get our a box of gummed stars. Take a star on your finger, lick it and put it on your forehead.

5-4-3-2 Wonderful Hold up 5 fingers. As you count down from 5 to 1, put down 1 finger at a time. When you have 1 finger left, should out “WONDERFUL!”

Seal Put arms straight out and cross at wrist and put palms together. Clap hands together and bark like a seal!

Rooster Crow! “Er., er, er-eeer”

Yodel Cup hands around mouth and say, “Yodel, lay, hee, who!”

Hail To The Chief
Hip Hip Hooray! Say “hip” and slap 1 hip. Repeat with other hip. Make a fist with one hand, raise it in the air and shout: “HOORAY!”

Standing Ovation
Salute and say “Sal-ute!” Stand. Make a big circle with arms above your head. Do a pirouette.

Firecracker Place hands together at your chest. Move hands above head saying “zzzzhhhh”, clap, saying “POP!”, then sprinkle fingers down saying “WOO!”

Looking Good With both pointer fingers, trace a rectangle in the air (a mirror), primp your hair and say “ Looking Good!”

Power Wash Place both hands on the left side of the body, palms facing out. Move in a large arc to the right side, saying “WHOOSH!”

Raise The Roof Place hands above the head with palms facing the ceiling. Bounce hands up and down as if touching the roof. Chant child’s name.

Oreo Mime separating an Oreo, licking off the middle and eating the two chocolate parts!

Tortilla Place palms together and hold hands horizontally. Clap, alternating each hand on top, as if patting a tortilla.

Alligator Clap Place arms straight out, one arm on top of the other, palms together. Clap, opening your arms wide between claps.

Flintstone Say “YABBA DABBA DOO!”

Grating the cheese Hold up palm for grater. Hold up for fist for cheese. Pretend to grate the cheese and say: “You’re great, great, great!”

Rattlesnake Put Palms together. Wiggle them forward. Make a hissing sound.

Trumpet Circle mouth with both hands and say: “Do, do, do, do, DOO!”

Parrot Place hands under armpits. Flap wings and say “AAK! “AAK! AAK!”

Hamburger Pretend to pat out a hamburger. Put it on the grill, lift it off with a spatula and say “Well done!”
