Tenure-Track Position in Child Development: The Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Child Development at the University of Haifa, Israel, invites applications for a tenure-track position, beginning in the 2017-2018 academic year. We are looking for outstanding candidates in all disciplines relevant to the field of child development including Developmental/Child-Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, SpeechLanguage Pathology, Social Work, Early Childhood Education, and related disciplines. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to develop a strong research program, have an applied interest and/or experience, supervise graduate students’ research, attain competitive funding and teach graduate courses in Hebrew. Academic rank commensurate with qualifications. The position is contingent upon budgetary approval. About Our Program: The Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Child Development at the University of Haifa is a unique program designed to bring interdisciplinary knowledge in Child Development to experienced practitioners in a variety of disciplines who seek advanced graduate training. Students acquire an MA degree and we are currently opening a PhD track for select students. The program was founded 8 years ago, has attracted a growing number of excellent applicants, is highly successful, and is currently undergoing expansion. In addition, the program is affiliated with the Center for the Study of Child Development which houses a large group of researchers and graduate students and has a 30-year track record of research excellence and international visibility. The program emphasizes academic excellence, interdisciplinary synergy and openness, and creating a warm and supportive environment for both students and faculty.
