RailwayBoard'sletterNo.E(W/2013/ISI\{/1 dated,25l02l20L4.
NFIR'sletterNo.w28tPart.*l?*3glost20t4.
Federation vide its letter dated 2010512014cited under reference brought to the notice of the Railway Board, the casesof Dr. Budh Dev Bishi and Dr. Vipro Das (Ayurvedic/ Homeopathic Doctors) working in the Railway Health UnitslHospitals on East Central and Eastern Railways respectively who have been denied continuance by the Zonal Railway Authorities upto the age of 65 years although permissible vide Board's instructions contained in letter No. E(W)/20034[/E-1/3 dated 0210712003. A period of nearly two years has passed,Federationis yet to receive a responsefrom the Board. 4
In this connection,Federationdesiresto reiteratefollowing keypoints:o '. o o

The above named AyurvedicAlomeopathic Doctors were engagedby the respective Zonal Railway more than 20125 years-ago i.e. prior to issuanceof Railway Board's letter No. E(W/2003/WE -Il3 dated 02/07/2003. The terms and conditions at the time of their engagementstipulated for their continuance in servicetill they complete 65 yearsage. The discontinuance of the above named two Doctors prior to attaining 65 years of age is therefore unjustified. ft1 this connection, recommendations of the CPO, Eastem Railway communicated to the Railway Board, vide letter No. SBF/Ilomeo/StafflVol. D( dated 3ll03l2}l4 (copy enclosed) for continuation of the AyurvediclHomeopathic Doctors upto the age of 65 years needs to be connected in the interest of the Health Care of the Railway employees. Federation encloses a copy of its earlier letter dated 2010512014addressedto Railwav Board for reference.
NFIR, therefore onc" ugain requeststhe Railway Board to issue suitableinstructionsto all Zones more particularly East Central and Eastem Railways to continue the services of Ayurvedic/flomeopathic Doctors upto the age of 65 years particulagly those who were engaged on contract basis prior to issuance of Board's leiter dated0210712003.A copy of the instructionsissuedmay be endorsedto the Federation.
