GOLDENDALE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 404 JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE OF POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

BUILDING COOK 1. Possession of a Food Handlers Permit. 2. One years experience in quantity cooking or training in institutional cooking. 3. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. 4. Must pass physical. 5. Fingerprinting is required. 6. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

REPORTS TO:

District Head Cook and in some cases, Assistant Head Cook

JOB GOALS:

Prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for students.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepare and serve required food material according to standard recipes, menus or verbal instruction. 2. Operate cooking and kitchen equipment. 3. Clean kitchen equipment. Keep kitchen clean and sanitary. 4. Direct student helpers. 5. Upon request, use computer software program in conjunction with the breakfast program for reporting purposes. 6. Upon request, transport food to/from satellite kitchen. 7. Perform related duties as requested and required for efficient operation of food service program.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

182 days. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
