Travel to Camp Ashland, NE for Fun, Entertainment, Poker Run, Donation Texas Holdem Game and hold the 2015 Region 6, CVMA Meeting at Camp Ashland, NE Friday, 17 April 2015, Meeting is Saturday, 18 April 2015 with entertainment Saturday evening. State Representatives (a) Consolidate 6-22 photographs and a list of highlights of the past year from each chapter. (b) Consolidate a list of future chapter events. (c) Send Completed Power Point Slides (PPS) to the 2015 Region 6, CVMA Meeting Committee, See Appendix 1 (PPS) See Annex R (Reports). Chapter Commanders (a) Consolidate a list of CVMA Members that plan to attend and send a head count to the Nebraska 2015 Regional Meeting Committee NLT 011900APR15. (b) Provide a list of requirements such as space, tables etc for sales booths. Provide a list (request) if your Chapter plans to promote anything special such as a raffle. Send these requests to the Nebraska 2015 Regional Meeting Committee NLT 011900APR15. [CVMA USE ONLY] 2015 Region 6, CVMA Meeting Nebraska has also established additional laws for safety: Nebraska requires the use of a DoT approved safety helmet. Nebraska accepts motorcycle endorsement from other states. Nebraska requires use of headlights at all time of operations. Nebraska’s maximum handle bar height is 15” above fasten point. Nebraska does not have a maximum sound level/acoustical criteria. Nebraska does not require a mirror on either the right or the left side. Nebraska does not require turn signals on the motorcycle. Note: If a motorcycle is not equipped with turn signals the rider must use arm signals. Nebraska requires mufflers, cut-outs are prohibited. Nebraska does not accept rider education completion cards from other states. Nebraska does not require the use of eye protection. Nebraska does not allow helmet speakers. Nebraska does not allow lane splitting. Nebraska allows motorcycles to operate two abreast in the same lane. Nebraska does not have an age restriction for passengers. Nebraska does not require rider/passenger education. Nebraska requires both a backseat and foot pegs for passengers if carrying. Nebraska does not require periodic inspections. Nebraska allows the use of radar detectors. Nebraska requires compulsory liability (Minimum Limits)(25/50/25) insurance. Nebraska does have concealed carry laws allowing them to be carried. Note: Check to ensure that Nebraska recognizes the state your CCW was issued before you travel into Nebraska.
Camp Ashland/ Nebraska Military Training Site additional requirements: Nebraska Military Department does not allow for firearms or explosives brought onto the property. Nebraska Military Department does recognize the DoD requirement of the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Each rider should make every effort to try to adhere to these requirements: DoT approved Helmet Use of eye protection Use of closed toe shoes that protect the ankle Use of gloves that protect the entire hand to include the fingers Use of pants that cover the entire leg Use of long sleeve shirt that protects the entire arm Use of a reflect belt or vest while operating the motorcycle on post Camp Ashland does have security guards at the gate and are aware of the CVMA Regional Meeting and should be very accommodating to the challenges of PPE.
