MARKET COMMENTARY Indian stock markets exhibited strength even as IT sector dragged both Sensex and Nifty from the very start of the trading session. As per market rumors, TCS has indicated a weak September quarter. If accurate, TCS would be third company after Infosys and Mindtree to do so. As a result, TCS closed 5% lower at the day’s close along with the Nifty IT which was down 3%. Nifty IT touched its 52 week low. All other sectors, Banking, Auto, FMCG and even Pharma participated in the bullish rally. In individual stock category, Suven lifesciences (2.4% up), Maruti Suzuki (3% up), Bajaj Auto (3.5% up), Sunpharma (3.7% up) and Tata Steel (3.32% up) were the major buzzing stocks of the day. Sensex picked up momentum in the last half an hour of the day touching 29059 and then settling down at 29045 gaining 118.92 points by the end of the day. Nifty ended above 8950 at 8952.50 gaining 34.55 points with 37 advances and 14 declines. Though market is expected to consolidate further, it is expected to open flat in the backdrop of ECB’s lack of action and Indian IT sector’s near term growth issues.

JUNE QUARTERLY RESULTS OIL & NATURAL GAS CORPORATION LTD The company announced standalone results for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 with Net Profit of Rs. 42325.40 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 compared to Rs. 53683.60 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, decline of 27% YOY. Total Income has decreased from Rs. 234910.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 to Rs. 187371.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2016. The

stock rose 0.5% and closed at Rs. 246.25 by the end of the day. GAIL (INDIA) LTD GAIL (India) Ltd posted stellar quarterly numbers with Net Profit of Rs. 13351.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs. 3880.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, rise of 244% YOY. Total Income has decreased from Rs. 127279.70 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 to Rs. 114572.00 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2016. The stock fell 2% and closed at Rs.

388.90 by the end of the day. THE WEST COAST PAPER MILLS LIMITED

The Company reported stellar performance with Net Profit of Rs. 271 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to a loss of Rs. 373 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015. Total Income has increased from Rs. 3930 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 to Rs. 4092 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2016. The stock ended at Rs. 105.85, rising 4% by the end of the day. VENKY’S INDIA LIMITED The company reported Net Profit of Rs. 409.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs. 143.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, a rise of 185% YOY. Total Income has increased from Rs. 5582.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 to Rs. 6441.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2016. The stock ended at Rs.563.70, rising 15% by the end of the day. ALSTOM T & D INDIA LTD The Company posted a net loss of Rs. (1974.1) million for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to net profit of Rs. 101.5 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015. Total Income has increased from Rs. 8072.1 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 to Rs. 8872.00 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2016. The stock ended at Rs. 321.30, declining 4% by the end of the day.

COMPANY SPECIFIC NEWS Mahindra & Mahindra Drives Ola The company has announced strategic agreement with Ola in a press release today. Mahindra & Mahindra also announced that the company will sell around 40,000 vehicles to Ola in the next 2 years. Motherson Sumi Systems Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd has announced that MSSL Manufacturing Hungary Kft., a subsidiary of MSSL GmbH (which is a subsidiary of Motherson Sumi Systems Limited) is acquiring the Automotive Business Unit of Abraham es Tarsa Kft. (Abraham and Co. Ltd) located in Turkeve, Hungary on a going concern basis and would also give on lease part of acquired assets to SMR Hungary. Suven Life Sciences secures three Product Patents in Canada, Europe and Hong Kong Suven Life Sciences Ltd announced grant of one (1) product patent from Canada (2785838), one (1) product patent from Europe (2888243) and one (1) product patent from Hong Kong (HK 1187340) corresponding to the New Chemical Entities (NCEs) for the treatment of disorders associated with Neurodegenerative diseases and these patents are valid through 2030, 2032 and 2032 respectively.
