Minshew Elementary School PTA Newsletter December 1, 2017

Minshew friends,

c

We loved seeing so many of your families at PTA’s “Winter Wonderland” Art Night and Book Fair! Thank you for spending time with us making amazing art, decorating delicious cookies and writing sweet messages to Mrs. Smith. Her enormous “Get Well” banner will be delivered over the weekend. We just know she will treasure all the kind words from her students! Minshew’s Talent Show isn’t until January 18th, but plans are already underway. Tryouts will be held on Tuesday and Thursday of next week from 3:15pm to 4:00pm in the gym. Email confirmation went out to all participants, so if you haven’t received your confirmation please shoot us a message at [email protected]. Calling all dads…our next Dad’s Crew safety patrol is next Friday, December 8th at 7:15am. Minshew students love being greeted by our amazing dads! Simply meet up with the rest of the crew at 7:15 am in front of the school and the other dads will show you the ropes. Hope to see you there! Thank you Kristina for sharing your time so freely! We appreciate all you do at Minshew!

Dearest Minshew Families, We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break full of family, friends and food. It’s full steam ahead for us here at Minshew. We have a lot to do before the winter break. Students and staff will be working nonstop to set goals and implement plans to reach their goals. We appreciate everyone who helped make our school wide fundraiser a success! The students are over the moon about the new gaga pit and other outdoor equipment we’ll be getting. The Minshew staff is grateful for your generosity and hard work. Can you believe that December is already here? Don’t forget to put names on your student’s coats, scarves, and gloves. The lost and found tends to pile up this time of year. We can reunite students with their items if they’re labeled. We have three weeks until Winter Break and we will learn all we can until it arrives! Thank you for your partnership with our staff as we teach students academics, physical health, art, music, and character. We are blessed to be touched ** by so many great students, families, and staff. Your Minshew Leadership, Inetra Nelson and Mandy Bourland

Guess who’s got Talent… Minshew’s Got T.A.L.E.N. T! Thank you to our Colts who answered the call for sharing your talent! We are impressed with your bravery already and look forward to seeing you at tryouts on December 5th and 7th. Details have been shared with participants via email. For those of you who will be our adoring audience…please mark your calendars now for January 18th, so you can enjoy a night of amazing talent.

Kudos to Mrs. Pool’s class for bringing in the most Box Tops in November! Enjoy that trophy!
