BS Flex electives. BS majors in the biological sciences must take four courses from 4 of the 5 following areas: A) Behavioral Science B) Great Works (not taken for University Core) C) Western Civilization. D) Non-western Civilization and E) Liberal Arts course outside your major as approved by the department. The General Psychology course suggested in this plan will count towards one of the 4 areas. See your advisor for suggestions on courses that meet the other requirements. 2 Great Works electives include ARTS-2013, COMM-2023, COMM-2033, ENGL-2213, MUSC-2013, MUSC-3213 3 The BS degree in biology requires 22 hours of upper division BIOL credits and 126 hours of total university credit.
