Description of Position General The Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) Principal Architect is a technical pre-sales/delivery position within Dell Infrastructure and Cloud Computing (I&CC) practice. The UC&C Practice Lead is responsible for growing Dell's I&CC Services portfolio within APJ. The Principal Architect will work closely with Dell Country Leaders, Account Executives, Enterprise Services Sales Executives, and Regional Practice Leads, to target, create, and close demand for Dell's UC&C Consulting services portfolio, as well as with Delivery team members to ensure preparation and readiness to deliver the practice offerings. The Principal Architect will also be expected to work closely with the UC&C Vendor Partners in the region, such as Microsoft, Aspect Software, and Polycom.

The position requires highly developed communication and influencing skills at IT Director/CIO level (Oral and Written) as well as excellent practise advocacy skills for mentoring and coaching segment aligned Dell subject matter resources. In addition the role is responsible to regionalise I&CC intellectual property, producing PoV and reference architecture in key customer pain points, together with the maturation of documentation including SoW, report deliverables and practise documentation.
This candidate in this position will be an industry recognised subject matter expert in their particular Microsoft Unified Communication and Collaboration technology field.
Role Description ● Evangelize the capabilities of UC&C infrastructure technologies to customers and internal teams ● Lead discussions with customer audiences up to CxO level on the use of Microsoft and other related
technologies. ● Lead pre-sales efforts in the development of UC&C consulting services business in APJ, specifically across
multi-country or multi-region projects. ● Develop scopes of work and project proposals for projects based on the Microsoft and associated
technologies. ● Be accountable for accurate effort scoping and building of comprehensive Work Breakdown Structures
and project plans. ● Work closely with the project teams (internal and external) to successful deliver solutions to customers ● Analyze technical requirements of a new project, conceptualizes design, identify appropriate technology
solutions for the project and contribute to project planning and estimation within the project constraints ● Develop proof of concepts to showcase the technology, Dell’s capability and mitigate technological risks ● Contribute to relevant technology peer groups and be a participate in company knowledge management
initiatives to benefit the wider Dell Services community ● Drive reuse implementation at the project/account level and proactively harvest reusable components
from project-space ● Help the customer understand the proposed technical solution to the business problem under applicable
constraints ● Assist in developing a high caliber team of talent in APJ. ● Guide and train new architects and consultants

solution design ● Experience producing end-user and technical documentation. ● Ability to work independently with users and executives to ensure the most business value can be
extracted from the solution you have proposed.
● Ability to work effectively under tight time frames and as part of a team in the production of proposals
and tender responses. ● Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects or business pursuit exercises ● Can help others in the organization with Microsoft knowledge at a level of understanding appropriate to
their job function. ● Ability to know when Microsoft technologies may not be the right solution for a business problem and can
communicate this effectively. ● Extensive experience in project scoping and proposal and presentation development
Technical experience and skills ● This candidate in this position will be an industry recognised subject matter expert in their particular
Microsoft Unified Communication and Collaboration technology field, be it Exchange, SharePoint, or Lync. ● Outside of their specialist skills, the candidate must also possess a comprehensive understanding of the
capabilities of the other UC&C technologies, such as Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and Lync Server, as well as a solid understanding of other unified communication technologies such as Voice, Video and Contact Centre. ● Experience in implementing the above technologies on a large scale in multiple customer environments. ● Experience in leading large, complex migration and upgrade projects as a Senior Solution Architect ● Experience with VoIP and/or TDM telephony technologies will be highly regarded and valued ● Proven willingness to continue technical education and certification on evolving Microsoft and related
technologies.

based) infrastructure projects (the what and how it takes to win and deliver) ● Minimum 5 years experience in consulting based assessment and design ● Highly developed consulting, listening and questioning skills ● Thorough experience of consulting process (tool/methodology/interview) ● Highly developed communication (verbal and written) skills ● Highly developed analytical and report writing skills ● Thorough understanding of organisational processes and customer business requirements ● Exemplary business case development and justification skills (written and oral) ● Extensive experience in infrastructure project scoping (Work plans, cost estimates, proposal development

Qualifications Mandatory Certifications Degree and/or appropriate mix of experience related to technical or business consulting activities with Microsoft Enterprise technologies: ● MCM/MCSM: Messaging or MCM/MCSM: Collaboration (highly desirable) ● MCITP: Enterprise Messaging, Lync Server or SharePoint (minimum) ● MCSE or MCSD
