SUBJECT: Creation of a Technical Committee to conduct a study of the proposed Land Resource Managumcut Code. The Land Resource Management Inter-Agency Committee has prepared a draft Presidential Decree, entitled "A Decree Instituting a Human Settlements Land Resources Management Code thereby Revising, Simplifying and Consolidating Laws affecting Land Resources in order to Ensure the Rational and Efficient Use, Management 2nd Disposition of Land as a Valuable and Limited Resource to Promote the Interest ofthe Community and the Nation at large", to be known as the Land Resource Management Code, a copy of which has been furnished this Department for study and review. For the purpose, there is hereby created a Technical Committee to be composed of the followings Mr. Ramon Valencia - - - - - - - - - - - Chairman Provincial Assessor of Palawan Cipriano P. Cabaluna, Jr. - - - - - Member Provincial Assessor of Iloilo Angel Palomares - - - - - - - ---- - - - Member Provincial Assessor of iIarin&ugue Ricardo Villena - - - - _ - - .- - - - - Member City Assessor of Batangas City Ines Balbin - - - - - - - - - - - Member City Assessor of San Jose City (NE) Alejandro Vismonte - - - - - - - - - - - Member Officer-in-Charge Office of the City Assessor of San Pablo City Hilarie Roxac - - - - - - - - - - - - - Member Municipal Deputy Assessor Makati, Metropolitan Manila In the performance of its functions, the Committee is hereby authorized to invite competent authorities in the local assessment service for consultations, comments, observations and/or advice,

2 and to draw staff and clerical support from any local assessment office upon proper authorization of the head of office concerned. The Committee shall hold meetings and working sessions upon the call of the Chairman, who shall designate the situs and inclusive dates thereof. It shall submit its findings and recommendations to the Secretary of Finance, thru the Finance Service Chief, Local Government Service, on or before October 15, 1976. Mr. Conrado Sabater, Chief of the Real Property Assessment Division, Local Government Service of this Department, shall provide direction and guidance to the Committee and coordinate its meetings and working sessions. The trips to Manila of the Chairman and Members of the Committee are hereby authorized as on official business and they shall be entitled to per diems, transportation and other incidental expenses that may be incurred in connection with the discharge of the Committee's functions, chargeable against the corresponding appropriations of their respective offices, and subject to the usual accounting and a u d i;t requirements. This Order shall take effect immediately.
