1. The Basic Education Sector Transformqtion {BEST} Program, a parb:ership between the Govemments of Australia (GOA) and the Philippines (GPH), supports the development needs of the Phitippines with the goal of improving equitable access to quality basic education 2.
Specifically, the Program aims to:

The Oepartm-nt of Foreign A{fairs and Trade (DFAT} and t}re Department of Education (DepEd) jointly manage and oversee the program implementation, through the Program Steering Commlttee (PSCf, with the DepEd Secretar5r and the Deputy Head of Mission of t1 e Australian Embassy as Rotating Chairs, and the Prograa Maaagement Committee (PilC|.

The Project Management Division of the Project Management Service (PMS-PMD) designated as Program Support and Coordinating Oflice (PSCOI on the part of DepEd (PSCO-DepEd). The PSCG-DepEd shall work in coordination with the PSCOBEST counterpart. The PSCO serves as the implementation oversight of operations, monitoring and evaluation of the program. The PSCO-DepEd shall monitor the day to day implementation, operations ald delivery of outputs of the sub-components under the main components.
