In the GeneralCouncil Meeting of NFIR held on 28thApril 2015 atNew Delhi, large number of delegateshave bitterly complained against poor maintenanceof Railway quarters and colonies as well as administration's total callous attitude towards staff welfare. Many delegateshave expressedtheir anguish that most of the General Managersduring inspections nevervisit Railway colonies. In this connection, NFIR requestsyou to kindly issue suitable instructions through a demi-official letter to all the GMs that whenever they go for inspection they may visit Railway colonies on priority basis to see for themselvesthe pitiable condition under-which the Railway employeesare living. The Federationis confident that when the GMs inspection programmeis known, the local administration will becomemore alert and some improvement can be expectedwhich may generateincreasedsatisfactionlevel amongthe employees. Federationhopesthat you would kindly do the needfulas suggestedabove.
