Membership The committee’s membership has not changed since our last report to the Board of Directors on 2017 January 30. The committee welcomed the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to the Digital Library of Tennessee and successfully harvested and aggregated data for inclusion in the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) On 2017 March 23, the committee met at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Library to make more concrete plans for a web portal featuring DLTN contributions to the DPLA. The meeting ended with a valuable planning session to help determine aspects of the the proposed portal’s user interface. The group determine Dublin Core and MODS mappings for standardized rights statements which are now required by the DPLA. The committee agreed to host code and documentation on ​GitHub​ and G ​ itHub Pages​. Additionally, pull requests, features, issue reporting, etc. will be documenting using GitHub. Work on this is ongoing. Currently, project documentation is hosted on a UTK server and issue reporting is handled through email. The committee hopes these changes will make the project more transparent.

Old Business ●

Suzanne Bonefas, Ken Middleton, and Jennifer Randles continue to work through updates to the ​Digital Library of Tennessee Metadata Application Profile (MAP)​, which will include additional consideration for mapping qualified Dublin Core and recommend new resources like rightsstatements.org.
