Adding images to the new Doit.org website 1. Making the most of your Organisation profile Organisations using the new Doit.org website now have a publically accessible profile page which explains a bit about your organisation. To improve the quality of these pages, we are asking administrators to upload a couple of images when they create or update their Organisation. The two images required are:

2. Improving Opportunities Opportunities with an image perform better than opportunities without. It is not compulsory to add an image to your opportunities and many people will not be able to source appropriate pictures. However, if you do have this option then you can add an image when you create your Opportunity and it will display inpage for volunteers to see.

What if my images look weird or unexpected? When you upload an image to the system, we look at the dimensions and consider the size and shape of the space it will occupy on the website. We then automatically resize and crop it to fit if required. This means that if the Logo or Header image you upload does not fit, then the automation may struggle to make it look perfect. If you are not getting the results you want, try cropping and resizing the images to the correct dimensions before you upload it to the site as this will give you more control.
What if I can’t upload or nothing happens? If you are using a very restricted Internet connection or dialup Internet (e.g. >56Kbps) then it is possible that you may not be able to upload your images if they are very large. If this is the case, try reducing the size of the images or increasing their compression to reduce their filesize.
What if I don’t have any image editing software? We recommend using Fotor http://www.fotor.com/features/crop.html Fotor is free, accessible through a browser (so requires no installation on your PC) and will allow you to easily crop and resize your images before uploading to Doit.
