BRANDON VALLEY LYNX (12-6)
Warriors face rising BV team By Austin Hoflock and Chayden Fitzsimmons arrior girls basketball team members will host an upand-coming Brandon Valley Lynx team in a game postponed from Feb. 2 by snow. The girls will be hungry for a win after a tough loss to O’Gorman 44-26 Tuesday and are still without senior Anna Goodhope, who is recovering from an injury. Tuesday was their first loss to an in-state team that the Warriors could possibly meet in the state tournament. Brandon Valley is a key District 2AA opponent, and is on a six-game winning streak dating back to Jan. 28. Senior Carly Knutson says it will be a tough game. “We really need to come out and play tonight because Brandon is an underrated team,” Knutson said. Coach Jamie Parish says his team is ready for the challenge. “Brandon is a good team and have a consecutive streak of wins for a while now, but the girls are ready,” Parish said. “We’ll need a big crowd to help us to a win.” Action begins at 4 p.m. with the varsity at 7 p.m. in the WHS gyms.
