NBS Online Payment Options Undergraduate Students You can pay your tuition through NBS in one of two ways: Make a payment in full or just a single, one-time payment. This type of payment can be processed via a credit card or automatic bank payments from a checking or savings accounts. There is no fee for a payment in full when drawn from your checking or savings account. If however, you elect to make payment in full using the credit card option, your full payment along with a 2.5% convenience fee is charged to the Discover, MasterCard, American Express or Visa credit card you designate. These payments are deducted immediately. If funds are not available in your checking or savings account, or your credit card charge is denied, your NBS agreement is terminated immediately and NBS does not reattempt the payment. A flexible payment plan gives you a convenient, interest-free way to budget education expenses. You may spread your expenses for the term over two to six months (depending on when you sign up for the plan). Because the NBS payment plan is not a loan program, there is no credit search nor interest or finance charge assessed by NBS on the unpaid balance. The only cost is a $25 per term non-refundable fee to enroll in a payment plan. If however, you elect the credit card option, your monthly payment along with a 2.5% convenience fee will be automatically charged to the Discover, MasterCard, American Express or Visa credit card you designate. These payments are deducted on the 5th of the month. If funds are not available in your checking or savings account, or your credit card charge is denied, it will be reattempted on the 20th and a missed payment will be assessed. Missed payment fees are payable to NBS. Your financial institution may also assess a fee. NBS enrollment and missed payment fees are subject to change in future academic years or terms, unless otherwise agreed by Nelnet Business Solutions and Kettering University.
To help determine what to budget, please use the following worksheet. Add in all your educational expenses (include tuition and fees, but exclude books and personal expenses). Deduct any credits, deposits or payments you have made (include scholarships, grants, loans, and any other financial aid). The balance is the amount due to Kettering University.
