About the Program Explore sustainable systems in Belize, such as renewable energy, nature conservation, sustainable business enterprise, green building practices, sustainable forestry, sustainable agriculture, and ecotourism. The interdisciplinary approach blends academic research, with interactive classroom discussions, experiential site visits, hands-on projects, service learning initiatives, and exclusive lectures with industry professionals.

About the Location In Belize, students gain exclusive access to different forms of renewable energy generation, sustainable forestry and agricultural practices, resource conservation efforts, environmental protection, and a thriving eco-tourist industry. Belize is known for its rich marine and terrestrial biodiversity. Excursions Various excursions for ecotourism, sustainable agriculture, sustainable forestry, marine conservation (snorkeling), ancient archeology, as well as adventure excursions, such as ziplining in the rainforest.
Housing Accomodation will be at various sites, including the Bfree nature conservation site. You will also have a cultural immersion experience with a family stay in a Mayan village.

A $300 nonrefundable deposit toward the total cost of the program is due at the time of application. The remaining fees are due no later than 30 days prior to departure. If you receive financial aid, you can defer payment until it disburses.
Eligibility/Requirements -students in good standing -2.5 GPA or higher
What’s Included: Accommodation, food, travel in Belize, all excursion costs, international health insurance and emergency medical assistance. What’s Not Included: Round-trip airfare to Belize, additional personal travel and personal expenses.
