EACH Receives 2016 Healthy Food for every Age grant from Harvard Pilgrim Health Foundation EACH received a $10,000 grant from the Harvard Pilgrim Health foundation to Support the Healthy Eating for Successful Living in Older Adults cooking workshops which will be conducted at senior centers, congregate housing, and the Community Health Center. This program will address health disparities through healthy eating literacy training.
EACH Receives $5,000 grant from CHNA 20 EACH received a $5,000 grant from CHNA 20 to implement a Mental Health First Aid Course in Chinese. Mental Health First Aid is a live training course, which uses role-playing and simulations to demonstrate how to assess a mental health crisis, select interventions and provide initial help, and connect individuals to professional, peer and social supports as well as self-help resources. This course will help educate the Asian community on mental health issues, including detecting mental health concerns and bringing awareness to the growing population effected by mental health challenges. EACH at the State House in Boston EACH attended the Joint Committee on Public Health informational hearing June 14 regarding the Prevention and Wellness Trust Fund. The purpose of the hearing was to educate and inform the committee on the progress and success of the current work done by the PWTF and its partners. EACH was honored to testify to the committee regarding the partnership with the PWTF and the success we have seen through the programs offered in our communities.
