II. Health and Hazard Potential Exposure Primary routes of exposure comes from sawing or sanding. Saw dust particles can cause irritation to the eyes and skin upon contact or irritation of the respiratory tract when handling if prevention measures are not taken into consideration.
Prevention Measures 1.
Gloves can protect your hands
2.
Particulate mask helps protect against sawdust
3.
Proper clothing is recommended to prevent contact to skin and eyes
4.
Saw dust generation should be avoided as much as possible
5.
Disposal of sawdust should accord to municipal, provincial, and national law

First Aid Tips: 1. Wash irritated skin with soap and water thoroughly 2. Consult your family doctor if you experience allergic symptoms or reddening of the eyes and skin

III. Handling and Storage Flooring with KOKOBOARD
Handling Tips
Straw board flooring on any surface is easy and similar to any other wood composite board. It requires user to prepare well before straw board installation.
Joining
The surface must be even and smooth before placing the straw board. The appropriate thickness size for both old floor replacement and new floor should be between 1.00 to 2.00 cm depending on floor structure. During installation, user should leave small space between tiles for wood elasticity (contraction and extension). Specific recommendations for installing on different structures and floors are as follows: •Wooden structure - the gap between joist must be even and its surface is smooth before installation. We recommend applying latex, rubber glue, or adhesives before nailing (size 2 - 2.5 inches) the straw board. •Cement structure - the surface should be even and smooth before straw board installation. Straw board can both be glued or nailed on the surface. •Old floors - whether it is old parquet, tiles, cement, or carpet floor, the user must take off old floor first to prepare for replacement. Make sure that the new surface is clean, even, and smooth. Do not work on wet cement as this might harm the product. Full sheet size can be installed or it can be cut into smaller tiles of various lengths and sizes according to the desired design. We recommend placing a sub-floor beneath before
•Adhesives Straw board can be glued using standard wood adhesives. It is best for the user to test the glue before the final joining. •Nails/Screws Nailing and screwing with straw board can be done with a simple carpentry technique as butt joint. Finished nail holes can easily be hidden away by saw dust filler.

Storing KOKOBOARD
Routing
1. Store panels in protected areas with supports at least 6 inches above ground to prevent contact from moisture contents. 2. Prior to installation, panels should be covered and protected from exposure to sunlight and moisture. 3. After installation, all panels should be covered to prevent contact with water on all exposed to panel edges and faces.
Straw board routing is as simple as it is with other particle or MDF board.
