Sub : Fillingup of postsin ongoingelectrification projectsundertakenby CORE. A large numberof electrification projectsare beingexecutedpresenlyall over the.Zonal Railwaysby CORE. GMICOREin his communications to the Board,has highlighted difficulties in gettingrequirednumberof stafffor manningvariousposts,which is a seriousconstraintfor achievingthe targetsof railwayelectrification. 2. .

The matterhasbeenconsidered by Board.lt hasbeendecidedthat:-

(a) Fillingup of vacanciesof COREprojectsshallprimarilybe the responsibility of the Zonal Railwayin whose territorialjurisdictionthe electrificationproject is going on. The concernedGeneralManagersand DivisionalRailwayManagersshouldtie up with the concernedHead of the RE projectto ensure postingof sufficientnumberof staff in a mannersimilarto that for construction projecls. (b) CORE will ensurethat staff so draftedfrom Zonal Railwaygwill not normalybe transferredto any otherprojectand in no caseto a projectoutsidethe territorialjurisdiction of the concernedZonalRailway,ri (c) Whilepostingfreshcandiditesrecruited by RRBs,the concerned CpO/pHODshall keep in view shortfalllreqqirement of ongoingelectrification projectsand newlyelectrified sectionsin thejurisdiction of the concernedRailwayand accordingly allotDivisions tdthe newlyrecruitedcandidates. (d) The ZonalRaiMayconcernedneednot ask for optionor willingness fromany staff and arrangeto postthe technicallnon-technical staffworkingat any levelafterassessing suitabilityand requirement of the project.This exercisewill be carriedout just like any normalroutinetransferof staff.
