Honesty is the Best Policy “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” One Salt Fork High School lives this motto and exemplifies it’s true meaning. Spenser “Stewy” Steward, a senior at SFHS is hard to miss. His shiny blonde hair makes him visible on the football field and in the halls of the high school. The thing that actually makes him stand out more is his good heart and honest nature. Mrs. Taylor, SFHS secretary submitted Spenser’s name for this week’s Friday Feature because of an act of kindness carried out by

Spenser. On Wednesday of this week, a student had lost her debit card. It just so happens that Spenser found the card and immediately turned it into the main office. You may think that this is no big deal, but in today’s world of self before others mentality, Spenser could have easily done nothing. When asked why he did the “right thing”, his response was simple, “If I would have lost my debit card I would have been losing my mind and hope that someone else would have done the same thing for me”. This simple statement says a great deal about the character possessed by Spenser Steward. He is definitely a kid you want to get to know. Spenser wants to pursue a career in Special Effects. His plan is to attend Full Sail University in Florida to study a subject that would help advance his career aspirations. He has been a member of the Salt Fork football team for all four years. He is the son of Amy Lutz and John Steward. Take the lead from Spenser, doing the right thing when nobody is watching, is the truest measure of character. We at Salt Fork High School want to commend Spenser for setting a fine example for his peers and community.
