Students are required to maintain IPP electronically Students use “myBlueprint” (web-based, via ugcloud)) IPP requirements change with grade Basically, an IPP is about knowing oneself and using that information to plan, now and into the future

Consider Class Size…. Class Caps for Grade 9: • Academic 31 • Applied 23 • Essential 15 (Math Only) Course options are not an “all or nothing proposition”. You can take academic and applied level course at the same time.
French Immersion Students must complete 10 Courses in total: ▪ 4 “core” courses (“FIF”) in each year from grade 9 to 12 ▪ 6 “other” F.I. courses taught in other subjects (available from grade 9 through 12) ▪ Of the 6 “other”, at least 2 must be at the senior level (grade 11-12)

Support for Grade 8’s @ Ross 1. School visits by Counselors to talk about course selection (start next week).
2. Tech days at the School during grade 8 year. 3. Sidekicks • Connect senior students with grade 9 students • Summer orientation session (team building, school tour, BBQ etc.) • Sessions during school year
Course Selection Process 1. We will visit grade 8 schools next 2 weeks to talk to students about course selection. 2. Students will be given an option sheet they can use with parents to plan courses. Parent sign. 3. With the help of their teachers and parents, students select courses using myblueprint before February 17
4. In April, a second confirmation sheet will be sent to confirming courses and personal information
