PES/IAS/PELS Joint Chapter
The Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Hyderabad Section
National Seminar on “Nanotechnology - Its future and Applications in Energy Sector” August 26 - 27, 2011 Danube Auditorium, Mahindra Satyam, Hitech City, Hyderabad
IEEE-PES/IAS/PELS Hyd Chapter IEEE Hyderabad Section is one of the most active sections of IEEE in India. IEEE was formally introduced in Hyderabad, in June 1981 and elevated to a full Section, in 1984. PES/IAS/PELS is a joint chapter of three IEEE societies – the Power & Energy Society (PES), Industry Application Society (IAS) and Power Electronics Society (PELS).
Scope Nanotechnology has been a fast growing area and its scope of applications for Electrical Engineering arena is tremendous. It refers to the engineering at Nano scale in terms of physical, mechanical, electric and chemical properties of an atom. This emerging area is expected to revolutionize the engineering approach, developments and will have profound impact on the Manufacturing and Design of many products in the Future and will have a direct impact on our Economy, Environment and even in our routine chores.
