Railway Board have issued orders vide letter dated 2410112018with regard to pension Revision/Parityin the caseof pre-2016retired Running Staff on Indian Railways. Federationfeels sad to note that theseinstructions have not been endorsedto NFIR and no copy has been sent officially till date even though more than a month has passed.There have also been number of instancesin the past when the important instructions mainly relating to establishmentmatters/staff issues not being endorsed to the Federationand this showsthat there is some discrepancyin the working machinery in the Railway Board,s Office. While expressingour unhappinessover the failures as above,NFIR requeststhe Railway Board to arrangeto tighten the mechanismand see that all letters/instructionsare endorsedto the NFIII and hard copiesthereof deliveredpromptly. So far as the contents of Board's letter dated 24h January,2018 are concerned,prima-facie, it is observedthat the illustrations as well the principles adoptedare not in conformity with the Govemment,s decision,resulting denial of legitimate pensionrevision and disappointmentamong retired Running Staff. Theseare required to be reviewed and the Federationwill separatelyconvey through another letter to the Railway.Board,pointing out the deficienciesin the "illustrations" issusd as Annexure to Board's letter dated24^ January,20 I 8. Federation fuither urges that the instructions dated 24l}ll20l8 detailedreview.
