Railway Board's attention is invited to NFIR's letter No. IA2Eart VII dated20* January2016, wherein the Federation conveyed its non-acceptanceto Board's letter dated I8lI2l20I5 & 1410112016 and demandedthat the ratio of D& LDCE & Promotion Quotas should be revised to 25o/o,25%and 500%respectivelyas in vogue in other Technical categorieson'the Indian Railways. The NFIR has also requestedthe Railway Board through its letters dated 2811212015& 2010112016 to arrange a special meeting with the CRB but unfortunately, there has been no responsefrom the Board at all on this important PNM subject. The Helpers working in the DiesellElectriclEMU Car Shedson the krdian Railways are extremelyunhappy over Railway Board's negativeattitude and discriminatory treatment.There are casesof Helpers stagnatedfor 15 to 20 years in GP 1800 becauseof limiting Promotion Quota to 20%oof vacancieswhile in all other Tecfinical categories,the Promotion Quota to the post of TechnicianItr, GP 1900is 50%.

The Federationonce again urges upon the Railway Board to review the whole issue in depth for providing equitableopportunitiesof promotion to the Helper, GP 1800,working in Diesel/ElectricLoco Sheds/EMUCar Sheds without further delay. Altematively, a special meeting with CRB may be arrangedat the earliest.
