Important! The Intel® Wireless Series Keyboard requires the Intel Wireless Series Base Station. Your computer must have the Base Station software installed and the Base Station connected. The Base Station is sold separately. Keep your current keyboard connected to your computer until you have finished installing and connecting the wireless keyboard. Have your Windows* CD available. Keep your old keyboard as a back-up device. The Installation Guide contains detailed instructions for installation, connection and troubleshooting.

Put the CD-ROM in the drive and wait for Setup to start If Setup does not start automatically: a) Open Windows Explorer: click Start > Programs > Windows Explorer. b) Click the drive with the CD icon and the word “Setup.” c) Double-click “setup.exe” and follow the on-screen instructions.

Insert the batteries into the keyboard • •

The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the keyboard. Make sure the “+ “and “- “on the batteries match the “+ “and “- “on the slots inside the battery compartment.

Press and release the connect button on the bottom of the keyboard

Press and release the connect button on the Base Station • •

The “connect” light in the middle of the Base Station blinks slowly as it searches for the keyboard's signal. Watch your computer screen for confirmation that the keyboard is connected and click OK.

Important! It may take up to 3 minutes to connect the keyboard, so be patient.

Try using the wireless keyboard a) b)

Open a document or other file and try typing. If the wireless keyboard is not working or you are having difficulty connecting the keyboard, do not disconnect your old keyboard. Refer to the Troubleshooting section of the Installation Guide.

Shut down your computer. Disconnect your old keyboard. Turn on your computer. Uninstall software for other brands of keyboards. For more information, see the device documentation or the original documentation for your computer.

Tips for using Intel Wireless Series devices •

If you do not use the wireless keyboard for a while, it automatically goes to sleep in order to preserve the battery life. To awaken the keyboard, click any button. It may take a few seconds for the keyboard to awaken completely.
