Quick Start Guide for the Intel® Wireless Series Gamepad Before you begin • • • •

Important! The gamepad requires the Intel® Wireless Series Base Station. Your computer must have the Base Station software installed and the Base Station connected. The Base Station is sold separately. Install the gamepad software before attempting to connect the wireless gamepad. Have your Windows* CD-ROM available. The Installation Guide contains detailed instructions for installation, connection and troubleshooting.
Put the CD-ROM in the drive and wait for Setup to start If Setup does not start automatically: a) Open Windows Explorer: click Start > Programs > Windows Explorer. b) Click the drive with the CD icon and the word “Setup.” c) Double-click “setup.exe” and follow the on-screen instructions.

Insert the batteries into the gamepad • •
The battery compartment is on the bottom of the gamepad. Make sure the “+ “and “- “on the batteries match the “+ “and “- “on the slots on the inside of the battery compartment.

Press and release the connect button on the bottom of the gamepad

Press and release the connect button on the Base Station • •
The “connect” light in the middle of the Base Station blinks slowly as it searches for the gamepad's signal. Watch your computer screen for confirmation that the gamepad is connected and click OK.
Important! It may take up to 3 minutes to connect the gamepad, so be patient.

Try using the gamepad a) b)
Press the “Mouse” button on the gamepad and then press the D-Pad. If the mouse pointer moves on your computer screen, the gamepad is working. If the gamepad doesn't work or you are having difficulty connecting the gamepad, refer to the Troubleshooting section of the Installation Guide.
Tips for using Intel Wireless Series devices •
If you do not use the wireless gamepad for a while, it automatically goes to sleep in order to preserve the battery life. To awaken the gamepad, press any button. It may take a few seconds for the gamepad to awaken completely.
