MSAD 42 No Child Left Behind District Report Card MSAD 42 has two schools in its district. Students in grades PreK-6 attend Fort Street Elementary School. The Mars Hill/Blaine HEAD START program is also housed at Fort Street Elementary School. Students in grades 7-12 attend Central Aroostook Junior/Senior High School. MSAD 42 has only one school for each grade level, the District Report Card will be used to disseminate assessment information from the New England Comprehensive Assessments (NECAP) and the Maine High School Assessments (MHSA). This report contains a District Summary of NECAP and MHSA data and data reports from each grade level that participates in assessments required by the State of Maine. NECAP data is provided for grades 3 – 8 and MHSA data for grade 11. At each of these grade levels students were tested in Reading and Math. Students in grades 5 and 8 were also tested in science. In addition to whole grade level data, information on several subgroups of students within the district are included in the report. When any subgroup has less than ten students, the data for that subgroup is not reported. NECAP data and MHSA data is reported for the subgroup Economically Disadvantaged. Average Daily Attendance (ADA) data, graduation data is reported with MSAD 42 district data compared with the state’s data in each category. Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) data is reported with district data. Dissemination of Information These reports and a summary of the data can be accessed through the district webpage. A copy of the district report card can be obtained from the Superintendent of Schools Office at 36 Pleasant Street, Mars Hill, Maine. An announcement is made on the local access channel to inform the community of the ways to access the report card. Assessment data is shared and discussed with MSAD #42 staff at spring staff meetings. The Curriculum Coordinator shares a summary of the results with t he MSAD #42 school board. All students receive handbooks which contain the district’s website address.
