Google Apps for Education (GAFE) - Electronic Permission Form Our electronic GAFE parent/student permission form is now live and accessible on any device. For parents to complete the electronic form, they simply need to navigate to the GAFE parent permission form web link and enter their child’s Student ID #. This will open a personalized consent form which must be signed by the student and the parent. Upon completion of the electronic form, the student’s GAFE account will be activated within the next 24-48hrs. Technology Refresh Process - Going Deeper For years now, our district has been and continues to be a leader when it comes to learning technology. Many of you are familiar with our Technology Refresh Process (TRP) that has been in place for nearly a decade now. A refresh program such as this is something that is not common around our province and it has been integral in supporting student learning in our district by ensuring schools have quality, equitable access to computing resources (both hardware and software). Beginning this year, we’ll be looking to focus our efforts on taking our refresh process even deeper by scaffolding in professional learning and capacity building for staff. Our goal is to support each refresh school in developing a learning technology vision that is personalized to their unique conditions, culture, strengths, and needs. Through voice and choice, we’ll support refresh schools through embedded co-learning, co-planning, and co-teaching, on the next steps that they identify in their own unique learning technology journey.
